Metal Braces

The best investment you'll evermake in your smile

Metal braces are the most common type of orthodontics used to straighten teeth and correct bite problems. They are made of high-grade stainless steel and consist of metal brackets that are bonded to each tooth, connected by a thin metal archwire. The archwire is tightened over time to gradually move the teeth into their desired positions.

Metal braces are very effective at correcting a wide range of orthodontic problems, including:

  • Crowded teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Gapped teeth
  • Overbites
  • Underbites
  • Crossbites
  • Open bites

Metal braces are also relatively affordable compared to other types of orthodontics, such as ceramic braces or Invisalign. However, they can be visible and uncomfortable, especially when they are first placed.

Clear Aligners / Braces

The invisible way to aperfect smile

Clear aligners and retainers are both made of transparent plastic material and are used to straighten teeth or keep them in place after orthodontic treatment. However, there are some key differences between the two.

Clear aligners are used to gradually move teeth into their desired positions. They are a popular alternative to metal braces, as they are more discreet and comfortable. Clear aligners are typically worn for 22 hours a day and are removed for eating and drinking. Treatment with clear aligners can take 6 to 18 months, depending on the severity of the orthodontic problem.

Clear retainers are used to keep teeth in place after orthodontic treatment. They are typically worn at night or for a few hours each day. Clear retainers are important to wear as teeth can tend to shift back to their original positions over time.

Ceramic Braces

Straighten your teethwithout the metal look

Ceramic braces are a type of orthodontic appliance that is made of a clear or tooth-colored material. This makes them less visible than traditional metal braces, which can be a major aesthetic advantage for patients who are self-conscious about the appearance of their teeth.

Ceramic braces work in the same way as metal braces. They use brackets and wires to gradually move the teeth into their desired positions. The brackets are bonded to the front of each tooth, and the wires are threaded through the brackets and tightened over time.

Ceramic braces are typically worn for 12 to 24 months, depending on the severity of the orthodontic problem. After treatment is complete, patients will need to wear a retainer for several months or years to keep their teeth in place.

Benefits of ceramic braces:

  • Less visible than metal braces
  • More aesthetically pleasing
  • Durable
  • Effective at correcting a wide range of orthodontic problems
